In accordance with the Gujarat Private Universities Act of 2009, the Gujarat Maritime Board Education Trust laid the groundwork for the establishment of the university. The University is now operating while using the temporary site of Gujarat National Law University (GNLU), and will continue to do so until it has constructed its own permanent campus. A neighborhood known as Koba may be found inside Gandhinagar, which serves as the state capital of Gujarat. At this time, the institution provides access to three different postgraduate degree programs. The university's curriculum includes the following degree programs: MBA in Maritime Management, LLM in Two Different Specializations, and Executive Development Programs in Two Different Specializations. The application process for every class must be completed online.
